Our Mission

  • To reach and empower children to live champion lives IN Christ

Our Goals

  • To partner with you (the parent) and help lay a spiritual and biblical foundation for your child
  • Keep your children safe and secure
  • Engage them with developmentally age appropriate curriculum and activities
  • Encourage them to act in audacious faith in their everyday walk with Christ

Healthy Guidelines

In our children’s program, we have very specific guidelines for parents to reference regarding health. These guidelines are intended to be very clear on what issues make it necessary for your child to be kept out of class. It is our hope that these guidelines address all concerns from parents and volunteers.  Administered correctly and fairly, they should protect the best interest of all of our children, well and ill, as well as our volunteers.   In order to keep the children healthy and maintain a safe environment, we ask for your help with the following guidelines:
Please do not send an ill child to Sunday school. Small children are prone to infection because their immune systems are not fully developed. One sick child places all the other children at risk.

A child with a fever of 100.4 degrees will be sent back with the parent. We ask that  you take your child into service with you and sit in the family booth so that you are still able to participate in service and hear God’s word.

If your child is showing any of the following symptoms please make sure they are not contagious prior to dropping them off:

  1. Diarrhea or vomiting (twice in 24 hours)
  2. Deep or hacking cough or a sore throat.
  3. Continuous runny noses with a yellow or green color.
  4. Any suspicious rash that has NOT been diagnosed by a physician.
  5. Undiagnosed and untreated pink, swollen, matted or runny eyes.

A child may return to class when any of the following occur:

  1.  Temperature has been normal for 24 hours.
  2.  Active signs of illness (diarrhea or vomiting) have been gone for 24 hours.
  3.  The child physician releases the child to return to school.

(Please note: a child may return to Sunday school with secondary symptoms from colds and flu as they may linger for several weeks without the child being contagious.)

Safety & Security

One of our core values here at CIA Kids is safety.  Upon arrival we ask that you sign your child in to class.  Your child will receive a security tag with their name and a security tag number. You will keep the security tag number and use that during pick up time. Each volunteer is trained on security procedures and for your child’s safety your child will not be released to a minor and the adult picking up must have the security tag. All personnel working with the children have been thoroughly interviewed by one of our staff members and Champion Life Centre has conducted a background screening as well.

We offer the following programs for your children

Emilie’s Friends

Special Needs class for child disabilities or children who require special medical attention. Please contact Children’s Pastor for more details on this classroom and our trained volunteers.

Nursery-Preschool (Infancy to 4 years of age)

Children from infancy through 4 years of age are taught using First Look Curriculum. Our goal is to make sure that by the time a child reaches the age of 4 they know 3 Key Facts: God Made Me, God Loves Me, and Jesus wants to be my friend forever.  We use orange strategy (First Look) because we feel  that it is important that we (the church leaders) and you (the parents) partner together and our influence on the children will be greater than either entity alone. Our small group leaders focus on building relationships with the children and engaging them through music, crafts and praise and worship time.

Elementary K-6th Grade

These older children are taught with 252 basics.  Each month the children focus on a different virtue through a comprehensive approach to exhibiting the character of Christ.  252 draws from the model of Jesus expressed in the gospel of Luke. Luke 2:52 says “And Jesus grew in wisdom, and stature, and in favor with God and man” the kind of growth modeled by Jesus was by intention not accident. Children learn wisdom (I need to make the right choice) , faith (I can trust God no matter what), and friendship (I should treat others the way I want to be treated).
